Joan D. Karafiat, 66, passed away Thursday, January 8, 2026. She was born on July 3, 1959, to Edward and Betty (Bolda) Rygasiewicz.
Joan loved her children dearly and selflessly devoted her life to their care. She will be remembered for her infectious laugh, bright smile, and unwavering loyalty to family and friends.
She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Dave; her children, Tony (Ella), Phil, Alex, Natalie (Connor) Proctor; her grandson, Charlie; and her siblings, Ed "Buddy" Rygasiewicz, Bonnie (Jeff) Johnson, and Mary Lou (Otto) Stasi.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Tommy; and her parents

Beth Anne Anderson passed away peacefully on January 2nd, 2026 after a brave battle with cancer.
Born 11/8/65 in Oak Park, IL, spent her childhood in Mt. Prospect and attended Wheeling High School. Graduated from Luther College in Decorah, Iowa with a B.A. in Health/Athletic training.
While away at grad school she was offered an entry level job at her Alma Mater, Wheeling High School. She packed up, left grad school and never looked back. Through the years Beth was everything from a pool attendant, athletic trainer, softball and bowling coach to administrative assistant in the Athletic office. She was lucky enough to truly love her job, her co-workers and every student she came in contact with
