Yesterday Google released Genie 3 which is real-time generative video that you can interact with. It must be expensive to run, because you need an AI Ultra plan costing $250p/mo. So far, people seem to be using it to create interactive memes, like soviet flying carpet simulator, discarded cigarette packet simulator, waymo simulator and doom all the way down. It's blurry, and not entirely consistent, but by next year I expect the fidelity will look closer to that viral GTA 5 in Greenland video (which is video style transfer, not realtime or Genie 3).
