Message from Mrs. Castillo

Snow

I hope everyone stayed warm and safe over the past week of snow, freezing temperatures, and ice!  It was fun seeing so many families sledding on the back hill before the snow froze over. We all look forward to returning to school this week.

The Lemon Road custodial team reported Monday through Friday clearing snow and ice from our sidewalks, entrances, bus loop, and parking spaces.  They did an incredible job, but there will be ice this week due to the freezing temperatures.  I am so appreciative of their hard work helping ensure our students and staff can access the building.  If you see them, be sure to share your appreciation!

Please follow official FCPS communication about closures or delays through the district website and by email.  District resources for students and information for families can be found on the Winter Weather Resources page.

While there is still daylight, please consider walking around your sidewalks, streets, and neighborhood with a shovel.  FCPS is monitoring temperatures and the safety of our students walking to school on sidewalks and waiting at bus stops.  Anything you can do to help ensure our students have safe places to walk and stand is appreciated.  Lastly, if possible, please walk with your child to bus stops this week to ensure they are standing and waiting safely until the bus comes.

The 2nd Quarter now ends on Wednesday, February 3. Gradebook and Report Card Modules in SIS StudentVUE and ParentVUE will be unavailable from Wednesday, February 3 at 4:00 PM through Monday, February 9 at 6:00 AM. Parents/guardians may log into SIS ParentVue beginning February 9th at 6:00 AM to view their child's grades and comments.
