Good Morning Majors. Here are some updates for upcoming events. We are still on for events for today. Practices and events can be held as long as we are making every effort to have students carpool with adults and avoid having students drive to and from school. Our parking lot is pretty clear as a lot of work was done it on Friday. The sidewalks around the building are really clear thanks to our awesome custodial staff. The sidewalks on the street are not as clear and need to be avoided.
Tonight Girls and Boys Varsity Basketball play at home vs Hayfield.
- Freshman Boys will go at 4:30 PM
- Varsity Girls will go at 6:00 PM
- Varsity Boys will go at 8:00 PM
In between the Varsity Games tonight we will celebrate Divine 9 Night presented by BSU and celebrate the 85th anniversary of Mount Vernon High School.
Indoor track will conclude on Wednesday at Episcopal High School in Alexandria. We will finish up 4 events (High Jump, Pole Vault, Shot Put, and the 3200m) Unfortunately due the venue and lack of parking, spectators will not be allowed.
Wrestling will have their senior night on Wednesday vs Annandale at 6:00 PM. This is a reschedule from last week.
Wrestling will also have the National District Meet for Boys and Girls.
Girls Wrestling wrestled at the Girls Zone Qualifier this past weekend. the following wrestlers placed in the meet:
- Danica Brown 5th Place
- Maryori Ferrufino Bonilla 6th Place
Girls Basketball will have their senior night on Thursday at 7:15 PM vs Falls Church.
We will be hosting the National District Gymnastics competition on Tuesday starting at 5:30 PM.
Swim had their district competition on Friday. They had 4 members qualify for regions:
- James Vanzandt (100 yard Breast)
- Danica Brown 5th Place
- .Maryori Ferrufino Bonilla 6th Place

We also qualified 6 relay teams for Regions. Regions are on February 13 & 14 at Oakmont Rec Center.
