Our PTA Fundraiser kickoff is tomorrow!
Terra Centre Families,
Our PTA is kicking off their biggest fundraiser of the year: the Terra Centre Tiger Fit Games! This fundraiser is designed to be inclusive, equitable, and simple. There are no "items" to buy—just a community coming together to support our Tigers. All prizes are school-wide, meaning every student celebrates our success together, regardless of individual fundraising levels.
The Goal: $20,000 These funds directly impact your student by covering:

Learning Tools: Subscriptions like Scholastic and BrainPOP.

Experiences: Field trip buses and after-school enrichment clubs.

Support: Teacher mini-grants and Tigers Cares.

School Spirit: New murals to brighten our hallways!
The Challenge: Sign Up to Win! We encourage every family to register, even if you don't plan to donate.

Classroom Goal: 100% enrollment = EXTRA RECESS!

School-wide Goal: 65% enrollment = 60-minute Dave & Buster’s game pass for every student.

Upcoming Student Experience Survey at Terra Centre
Our school will participate in the FCPS Student Experience Survey. This survey will gather important feedback from students about their school experiences to help FCPS make meaningful improvements.
All students in grades 3-6, except those who have opted out, will receive a link to the survey in their FCPS email on February 23. We will administer the survey during the school day on Monday, February 23. Any student may take the survey at home, if they are unable to take the survey during the school day. You will receive a communication with details on how to preview the survey and opt your child out, if you choose. The electronic opt-out form can also be accessed at this link.
We believe it's important to hear from our students about what we're doing well and where we can improve. This work also aligns with the equity commitments in FCPS’ 2023-30 Strategic Plan, which include a focus on amplifying student voice and experiences as we work toward meeting plan goals.

Terra Centre Tiger Fit Games
We’re doing things a little differently this year by creating a fundraiser that is inclusive, equitable, and simple for all TCES students and families, and that doesn’t require purchasing unnecessary items. Our prizes are school-wide, so every student earns the same rewards, regardless of fundraising level.
Attached is additional information about our fundraising goals and the prizes earned as each goal is reached. Our ultimate goal is to raise at least $20,000.
All funds raised support our teachers and students at Terra Centre through a variety of PTA-sponsored programs. This year, we’re also hoping to use funds raised to add new murals throughout the school. Some of the many ways the PTA supports our community include covering the cost of learning subscriptions like Scholastic and BrainPOP, paying for field trip buses, offering teacher mini-grants, running after-school enrichment clubs, sponsoring the Reflections Art Program, organizing Walk & Roll to School days and other community events, and supporting Tigers Cares.
We encourage everyone to sign up for the Fit Games fundraiser, even if you don’t plan to raise money. Every classroom that reaches 100% enrollment will earn EXTRA RECESS. And if at least 65% of students school-wide sign up, every student will receive a 60-minute Dave & Buster’s game pass.
