College Debate & Discourse Alliance

CFR Education is proud to partner with the College Debates & Discourse (CD&D) Alliance to launch a new pilot program integrating civil discourse into global affairs education. The CD&D Alliance is a national initiative forged by the American Council of Trustees and Alumni (ACTA), Braver Angels, and BridgeUSA to promote civil discourse across college and university campuses. Global Affairs Expert Webinars for Higher Education Faculty and Students

The CFR Global Affairs Expert Webinar series, held via Zoom, provides an opportunity to participate in interactive conversations with CFR fellows, Foreign Affairs authors, and other experts.

 

March 4, 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. (EST): Democratic Backsliding in Latin America and the Caribbean with Frank O. Mora, professor of politics and international relations at Florida International University and former U.S. ambassador to the Organization of American States.

 

March 18, 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. (EST): Laws of Warfare with Saira Mohamed, professor of law at the University of California, Berkeley, and Matthew C. Waxman, adjunct senior fellow for law and foreign policy at CFR.
