Hi ,
I don't know about you, but I'm obsessively watching "Love Story"—and thinking about my own time at Calvin Klein, where I had the same celebrity PR role that Carolyn held.
I started there in 2006, a different time from Carolyn's, but the Calvin aesthetic very much endured: minimal, clean-lined, effortless. It was a world where less was always more, and the clothes never wore you.
Working there taught me what makes a brand endure: staying true to your look, creating pieces people actually wear and building a wardrobe foundation instead of chasing trends.
At Dudley Stephens, our vibe is warmer, cozier—but the philosophy is the same. Quality over quantity. Versatility over hype. Pieces you reach for without thinking, because they just work.
Our turtlenecks, our pullovers, the layers you put on repeat—they're all rooted in those same Calvin Klein lessons about what actually matters in a wardrobe.
If you want the full story (the celebrities, the Fashion Week chaos, the meet cute with my husband), I wrote about it
here.
And if you're looking for those forever pieces that capture classic minimalism for every day, here are a few favorites:
-Park Slope in Black
-Edie Button Down
-Tillary Crewneck
-Camilla Puff Sleeve in Cream
-Five Mile River Scarf in Hazelnut
-Melrose Pant
-Catalina Jacket
Thanks for being here,
Lauren
