A supplemental budget bill stalled in the House amid sharp disagreements between the House majority and minority caucuses. Republicans reasoned that oil revenue driven by the war in Iran will eliminate the need for using savings to cover $373 million in expenses in the current fiscal year.

After changes to Anchorage's property tax assessment process, as of earlier this week, the city had received roughly 1,950 appeals — a significant increase from past years.
