Hi Lot,
It’s Kevin.
As we approach the end of March, I want to talk about a psychological drain called the Zeigarnik Effect.
Our brains are hardwired to remember unfinished tasks much more vividly than completed ones. Every "half-finished" project, every "I'll do that later" chore, and every resolution you started in January but haven't touched lately is currently running like a background app on your phone—draining your battery.
This is why you feel tired even when you haven't "done much." Your brain is holding onto the tension of these open loops.
The Fix: Don't try to finish everything today. Instead, pick one "open loop" and either finish it or consciously decide to quit it.
There is immense power in saying: "I am not going to do this right now." Close the mental tab so you can use that energy for what actually matters as we head into April.
