Happy Easter!
It has been a jam-packed week in news across the Limestone Coast with residents, farmers and businesses struggling with the high cost of fuel and fuel supply. Hopefully, we will see prices drop soon.
We have also seen One Nation candidate Jason Virgo win the seat of MacKillop, which is a historic victory in this traditional blue-ribbon Liberal seat.
County Hour presenter Selina Green — a proud Limestone Coast local — rolled out a story about whether a electric forestry log truck trial has been successful amid national discussion on whether Australia's heavy vehicle fleet could be electrified.
We have also seen the popular Easter DogFest event — which sees dozens of gorgeous, perfectly groomed pooches strut their stuff in Mount Gambier — hit with a downturn in numbers due to the fuel issue.
And in a brighter note, the Fringe Mount Gambier events will continue, which has already brought a splash of colour and variety to the city's central business district.
Importantly, please stay safe on our roads, take breaks and drive to the conditions. And also, don't forget to indulge in a chocolate treat or two and attend some of the many local events on the Easter calendar.
