Dear Allison and Amy Rose,
I’m in love with my co-worker! It started innocently enough. I joined a new organization and it became immediately clear we had a ton in common and speak the same language. Now, we’ve become genuinely close friends who hang out all the time. Since the beginning, there’s been something more than friendship between us; often there’s this subtle — and sometimes not so subtle — flirtation, and now, you’ve guessed it, I’ve developed an all-consuming crush.
It’s a bit of a nonstarter. We enjoy each other’s company, that’s clear, and the flirtations are reciprocal, but he’s in a decadelong relationship and apparently, there’s nothing wrong with said relationship (though his willingness to start what’s essentially an emotional affair might say otherwise). It doesn’t matter! I’ve fallen hard and have to see him every bloody day. Help!
