The IMF downgraded its forecast for global growth to 3.1 per cent in 2026 from the 3.3 per cent it had forecast in January, but the new rate assumes the war is ‘short-lived.’
The win in the byelections brings the number of Liberals MPs to 174, which should allow the Carney Liberals to pass legislation without support from opposition parties.
