I believe monks are the most productive people in the world. They know that productivity isn't about doing more things, it's about doing the most important things well. Monks live by a system that enables clarity of action, as well as habits necessary to support full living. Habits including gratitude, awareness, intentional action, presence, personal growth, giving, listening, and loving. Monks are productive, not because they operate like efficient machines, but rather because they operate like intentional human beings. Everyday we have the choice of which path we want to follow.
THIS WEEK: In what areas of your life are you operating like an efficient machine rather than an intentional human being? How might this area be transformed if you let go of efficiency as your goal, and instead optimized your approach around presence and meaning?
All the best,
Steve Lawson - Monk Manual Founder
