Annandale Seniors and Families:
Thank you to all of the senior parents and PTSA members who supported Senior Breakfast. The event was a huge success and brought seniors together to kick off the final stretch of the year with important information about upcoming events and graduation, followed by a celebratory breakfast and raffle. Families and students can view the presentation with information about all senior events.
The Class of 2026 will host Bingo Night on Wednesday, April 29 in the Annandale Cafeteria, with doors opening at 5:45 pm and games running from 6:15 to 9:00 pm. The event will feature multiple bingo games, raffle prizes, and snacks available for purchase. Pre-sale specials are available for a limited time, offering discounted game cards and bonus raffle tickets. This is a great opportunity for our community to come together, enjoy a night of entertainment, and support our students.
If you have any questions about upcoming senior events, please contact our senior class sponsors, Erin Mahoney and Chase Cole or our senior class administrator, Jae Lee.
Shawn DeRose, Principal
Important Dates
May 1 - Senior Decision Day: Annandale will celebrate National Decision Day on May 1. At this event, we will recognize our seniors and the different paths they will take after graduation, whether they have decided to attend a 4-year college, community college, join the military, workforce, or take a gap year. The celebration will be held during all lunch periods in the senior courtyard, where students can enjoy snacks, music, and take pictures with their peers.
May 9 - Senior Prom, 8-11pm: Prom will be held Saturday, May 9 from 8:00-11:00pm at The Torpedo Factory (105 N Union St, Alexandria, VA 22314). Don’t miss the chance to dance the night away and celebrate with the class of 2026! Each senior may purchase up to two (2) tickets. Tickets are on sale now with early bird pricing until March 22. No tickets will be sold at the door.
If students would like to bring a guest who does not attend Annandale High School, they must pick up a guest form from the front office and return it to the class of 2026 administrator Jae Lee (main office) for approval. Students should not purchase tickets until the form is approved. No middle school students or guests over the age of 20 will be permitted.
IMPORTANT: Students must pay outstanding obligations before prom tickets can be approved. Students will not be allowed to enter prom if they have outstanding obligations. These obligations can be paid in MySchoolBucks. Here are instructions on how to access MySchoolBucks.com. Maximum 2 tickets per student. If buying a guest ticket for another AHS student, you must "Add Student" to your profile and purchase using their school ID. If purchasing for a non-AHS guest, purchase both tickets using your school ID#. Guest forms must be submitted to the front office no later than Monday, May 5.
May 11 & 12 - Senior Survey: Each year, every senior is required to complete the Senior Survey. This is how Student Services celebrates the decisions of our graduates and ensures we have information on where to send final transcripts. Counselors will be coming to every senior English class on May 11 & 12 to help students complete the Senior Survey. Please do not complete the Senior Survey before these dates. Students absent on the day of their English class will receive an email notification about make-up days and times for filling out the survey. Note: It is required that all seniors complete the survey by May 25. Seniors who have not completed the survey will be unable to pick up their cap and gown for graduation. If you have questions or concerns, please email Viri Acosta.
