Celebrate Deer Park Night Tonight!

What: A celebration of our Deer Park community, favorite foods, fitness, care for the earth and our love of reading.

When: Thursday, April 23 - 5pm to 6:30pm

Where:  Deer Park Cafeteria, Gym, Lobby, Library

Fun Fit Friday Tomorrow!

Join Principal D'Amato and friends on the track every Friday morning (weather permitting) at 8:10 a.m. for some fresh air and exercise to get your day started.

Everyone is welcome.

Family BINGO Night Tomorrow!

Testing Season is here!

Here are some ways you can help!

Remind your child to get a good night's rest.
Make sure your child has a healthy breakfast.
Avoid scheduling appointments that would take your child out of school on a testing day.
Remind your child that electronic devices are not allowed in testing, unless required by 504 or IEP.

3rd Grade: May 5th Reading; May 12th Math

4th Grade: April 29th Reading; May 19th Math

5th Grade: May 7th Reading; May 14th Science and May 22nd Math

6th Grade: May 8th Reading; May 21st Math

Community Peer Program

Deer Park Elementary School is pleased to announce that we will have community peers in our preschool program. The Community Peer Program provides an opportunity for preschoolers with all abilities to work and play on a regular basis.

Our program will invite community peers, who are aged 3 - 4 years old, to join our classroom. The early childhood special education program uses a child-centered approach to learning. The goal of this program is to encourage active learning and promote social interaction and acceptance.

Please complete the attached interest form Community Peer Program google form. if you would like your 3-4 year old child to be considered for the comunity Peer Program.

Optional Parent Input Form for 2026-2027 Class Placement

The end of the year is quickly approaching and we are already looking ahead to next school year. At Deer Park ES, your child’s academic success is our top priority. To determine the appropriate educational environment for your child for the 2026-2027 school year, we invite you to share information regarding your child’s needs.

List your child’s academic strengths and areas for growth or describe the type of discipline and/or reinforcement that works best for your child. You may also want to include your child’s learning style (visual, audio, tactile) and characteristics of the classroom structure or teacher personality that you feel will meet your child’s needs.

Your input is appreciated. Every effort will be made to place your child in the environment you request, but please keep in mind that not all requests can be granted. In addition, we are unable to honor specific teacher requests.

It is not required to fill this form out.

Our Annual Family Bingo Night hosted by the 6th grade class is coming APRIL 24th! There will be great prizes, and concessions (drink, candy, pizza and all beef hot dogs) for sale. Come out for a night of FUN, FOOD and PRIZES. This event supports the 6th grade end of year class party! More details coming soon!

The School Board voted to direct the superintendent to designate Veterans Day as a standard instructional day for the 2026-27 school year.
