Dear Beech Tree Families,
It has been a busy week for the PTA! We had a wildly successful Election Day Bake Sale (more than $1500 raised from our civic minded neighbors!), a fun Restaurant Day at Scramble indoor playground, and we transitioned our toddler from a crib to what he is calling a “tall big boy bed.” (That last one might have been just some of us.) We. Are. Exhausted.
After a weekend of peaceful rest, we should be ready for next week: Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week! A few (DOZEN?!?) things:
- The kickoff for Chalk the Walk is Sunday 4/26 from 3-5 PM. This is an activity you can do anytime all week, but we invite any who are able to start the greetings off with an explosion of color and loving notes.
- We are low on donations for our food events!
- Pre-K & K families: Tuesday Breakfast Bar Sign Up
- 5th Grade families: Thursday Dessert Bar Sign Up
- 1st-4th Grade families: Friday Potluck Lunch Sign Up
- (Feel free to donate to any of these events regardless of grade)
- Lastly, don't forget these days. It may be helpful to prep this weekend (with all your free time, who has hobbies?):
- Monday Flower Day: Bring flowers to teachers & staff (real, drawn, crafted) or wear bright colors
- Wednesday Noteworthy Day: Send in notes of appreciation. Don’t forget office, custodial, and specialist staff!
