SOL Schedule and Retest Permission
Our Oak View Standards of Learning (SOL) testing schedule is linked here for all students in Grades 3-6. We ask that you try to avoid appointments on the morning of a scheduled test day. In the event of an absence, please contact your child’s teacher and the Oak View attendance email as soon as possible so we can make alternate arrangements.
The state allows elementary and middle school students who do not pass a spring SOL test by a small margin to have another attempt before the end of the school year. Parent/guardian permission is required for the school to retest any student in grades 3-6. A decision not to allow retesting will not impact your student’s course grade or academic record.
If you believe your student would benefit from a second opportunity to demonstrate knowledge and skills on the spring SOL test, submit your decision using the Parent Digital Consent application. This application uses your SIS ParentVUE login.
