Jefferson Journal April 24, 2026

Message from the Director of Communications

Dear TJHSST Families,

The end of the year is approaching! With that comes testing season. On Monday (April 27), all juniors will be taking their Virginia Standards of Learning (SOL) Reading test. Approximately half of the students will take it in the morning and half in the afternoon.

The following week (May 4-8) begins the two-week AP Testing window. Students tend to be anxious as this time approaches, so I encourage you to reach out to your child and make sure they are doing okay. They've put in the work all year and they are ready for success!

This week's newsletter has a reminder of the overall AP schedule (which days are blue days, which days are red days, which tests are in the morning, which tests are in the afternoon). I have also added back in the request for items for our Jefferson Junction as supplies are starting to get low. It concludes with more TJ success stories at the end!

As always, please reach out if you have any questions.

Sincerely,

Mike Roth

TJHSST Director of Communications
