Thank You from Walmart
I meant to respond sooner, but the afternoon disappeared on me and I just got back to the note now.
I did try your suggestion and it actually helped more than I expected, especially once I stopped overthinking every little step.
I think the main issue was that I kept jumping between too many tasks and convincing myself I was still being productive.
Yesterday I made a short list, finished the first thing completely, and the rest of the day felt much smoother.
I also took a longer walk in the evening and that seemed to reset my mood a bit.
If you are around later this week, I would love to compare notes and see how your version turned out.
I might borrow your idea for organizing the weekend because mine is currently all over the place.
Anyway, that is where I landed after trying it out, and I am glad you nudged me to keep it simple.

The Walmart Team
I was thinking about what you asked, and I do not think there is one perfect answer unless you know what kind of day you want to have.
For me, it usually works better when I start with something small and annoying, just to clear the noise out of my head.
Once that part is done, I feel less scattered and a lot more willing to stick with the harder thing afterward.
I also noticed that when I leave my phone in another room for even half an hour, I get through more than I expected.
It is not dramatic, just quieter, and that seems to matter more than motivation.
If you want, send me the rough draft whenever you are done and I can look it over tonight or tomorrow morning.
I am not claiming to have a genius system, but I have finally stopped changing methods every two days.
That alone made everything easier and a lot less frustrating than it used to be.
