It’s a natural, human inclination to search for novelty. But adhering to the right routine is the opposite of boring. If we can learn how to use it, routine becomes a tool that encourages us to dig deeper—rather than digging everywhere. It lets us explore the excitement of the everyday, resulting in a richer, more thoughtful life. The gold we are seeking is rarely “out there” somewhere, it’s usually right in front of us, hiding in plain sight amongst our everyday life and roles. 
 
THIS WEEK: Your morning and evening routine are a bundle of habits that frame your experience of daily life, shaping its contents. Spend some time reflecting on your current morning and evening habits and consider whether it might be time to add a new practice in, or let an old practice go.
