Regarding the raised planter boxes for the patio project, I think we should go with cedar since it withstands the weather well. I priced out the materials at the local supply yard yesterday. The soil mix they recommend is a blend of topsoil and compost. We can pick it up in my truck on Saturday morning if that works for you. I also think we need to lay down some landscape fabric underneath to prevent weeds from coming through the bottom. Let me know if you want to adjust the dimensions from the original plan. I measured the space again and we might have an extra foot to work with on the south side.
