ExtraCare Points Reminder
I was talking to my neighbor about the trail up at Miller's Peak and she said the wildflowers are really starting to pop now that we have had some rain. I have been meaning to get out there but the weekends keep filling up with chores and errands. Last time I went it was still pretty dry and the views were hazy from all the smoke that drifted in from the fires up north. She mentioned there is a shorter loop that only takes about an hour if you start from the east parking lot instead of the main trailhead. I think I will try that one next time since I can fit it in before lunch without having to pack a whole day worth of supplies. She also said the parking lot has been less crowded lately because school started back up and families are not coming as often. I might try to go this weekend if the weather holds. The forecast looks decent so far and I could use a few hours outside to clear my head before the work week starts again.

I spent the afternoon reorganizing my music library and rediscovered some old albums I had not listened to in years. It is funny how certain songs just bring back specific moments so clearly. I started building a new playlist with a mix of older tracks and some newer stuff my cousin recommended last time we hung out. She has really good taste and always finds these indie artists before they get popular. The algorithm keeps trying to suggest things but it never quite gets it right compared to actual recommendations from people who know what you like. I am trying to decide if I want to group them by mood or just let it flow naturally from one style to another. Probably overthinking it as usual but it is a fun way to spend a rainy afternoon. I might share the playlist with a few friends to see what they think and maybe discover something else I have been missing.
