Rivian has introduced its AI-powered Rivian Assistant via an over-the-air update for all R1T and R1S vehicles, allowing drivers to use natural conversation to control vehicle functions, ask questions and complete multi-step tasks without rigid voice commands. The system can also connect with external services like Google Calendar, enabling drivers to manage appointments, send ETA updates and access a wide range of vehicle features hands-free while driving.

Homey has introduced apps for Android TV and LG webOS, turning TVs into smart home dashboards that allow users to control devices, automations and routines directly from their remote. The company also introduced a browser-based version called Homey.tv, which works on TVs and even vehicle browsers like Teslas, giving users access to smart home controls from virtually anywhere.

A study by the University of Michigan Transportation Research Institute shows that General Motors vehicles equipped with advanced driver-assistance systems have significantly fewer crashes. The study, which analyzed 12 million vehicles from 2020 to 2024, found an 86% reduction in backing crashes, a 57% decrease in injury-causing rear-end crashes and a 35% drop in pedestrian injury crashes.
