Outdoor Lighting Regulations
Land Development Services received the following information from the Department of Planning and Development (DPD). Forwarding along these details for awareness.
The county webpage about outdoor lighting regulations has been updated to include additional information about the standards that apply to both residential and nonresidential properties. The regulations apply to new and replacement fixtures, and homeowners as well as applicants for site plan and building permit approvals should be aware of the requirements. Click the button below to access the webpage. The standards can be found in Section 5109 of the Zoning Ordinance and are intended to reduce glare, light trespass, and light pollution, and promote safety and energy conservation.
