A Message from the Principal

We have begun planning for next school year. Developing class assignments each year is a complex process. School administration, classroom teachers, counselors, special education staff, multilingual teachers, and specialists all have the opportunity to provide feedback on class groupings. If you have feedback that you would like for us to consider, please add it to this form https://forms.gle/THn8ppincUrvNz8r6later no later than May 29, 2026. Late submissions will not be accepted. We will consider all feedback provided, but we are not always able to fulfill requests. We respectfully ask that you do not request particular teachers. It is unfair to give special consideration to some families when it would be impossible to grant requests from all families. Please be aware that grade level assignments for staff sometimes change, due to late enrollments or other changes.  Staff assignments are determined at the end of the summer.

Don’t forget about our Family STEAM Night on Thursday, May 21st from 6:00-7:00 pm.  A spaghetti dinner will be served in the cafeteria from 5:30-6:00 pm thanks to the Centreville United Methodist Church.  Join us for lots of fun hands-on science, technology, and engineering opportunities.

We appreciate your continued support and partnership.

Sincerely,

Erika Aspuria

Principal

All Centre Ridge Library books are due back in the library on June 3!

Centre Ridge students love the library! We have had over 20,000 checkouts this year and we still have a month to go! One student has checked out over 75 books already this year! The favorite types of books are the Everybody Picture books with Nonfiction books a close second. The Dogman books by Dav Pilkey, the Pigeon books by Mo Willems, and the Soccer 360 magazine lead the way with the most checkouts.

We will continue checking out books through May 29, but every book needs to be returned by June 3. Paper and email reminders will be coming home throughout the month. Please look everywhere (house, car, neighbor’s house, etc.) for books that have the library barcode on the back and say Centre Ridge inside the book. There is no fine for books that are overdue and are returned, but if books are lost or damaged then families will need to pay the amount listed so the library can replace the books.

You can continue to use the Centreville Regional Public library to borrow free books this summer and all year long! Thank you for supporting the library and your student’s reading this year. Please have all Centre Ridge library books returned by June 3.
