After almost 40 years in the media, Drive presenter Ali Moore has decided to hang up the microphone for an adventure in Italy.

During her time at 774 ABC Melbourne, Ali has covered some of the biggest stories in the state. She has given a voice to farmers suffering through heartbreaking drought and people who have lost everything in devastating fires. She helped us navigate a global IT outage with post-it notes for comms. She took us to Wye River and the Otways as emergencies unfolded. She was live on air as an earthquake hit Melbourne. And she brought us the best Melbourne moment of 2025, beaming while 374 bagpipers played It’s a Long Way To The Top at Federation Square.

Ali wraps up her role at the end of May. A familiar voice to 774 listeners, Charlie Pickering, will take over Drive from June 1.

When Sharnelle Vella received a handmade beanie from an anonymous listener for her newborn, it sent her on a wild goose chase. Sharnelle wanted to say thank you, but the only clue she got from the generous knitter was a note saying, “from B”. Who is this mysterious B?

The rap icon has now delighted the special‑needs students for a second time, surprising them with a personalised remix of the song they created together.

Snoop first made headlines last September when he walked into the Werribee‑based school to record a track with the music class after they boldly reached out to him on Instagram.
