I finally tried that hiking trail you recommended last month and it was absolutely worth the drive. The views from the ridge were incredible even with the overcast weather. I ended up taking a wrong turn near the creek but found this beautiful little clearing with wildflowers I'd never seen before. I've been experimenting with watercolor painting lately and I think I might try to capture that scene. It's been a nice way to unwind after work.
