I think Saturday afternoon works best for the get-together. We were considering starting around 2 or 3 so people have time to run errands in the morning. The weather forecast looks decent so we might set things up on the patio if everyone is comfortable with that. I will bring the side dishes and maybe a dessert too. Let me know if you think we need anything else. We have enough seating for about twelve people but if more show up we can grab some folding chairs from the garage. The kids can play in the backyard while the adults hang out. I will send out a message to everyone by Thursday to confirm the plan and ask them to RSVP so we have a headcount for food. Does that timeline work for you? Let me know if you want to adjust anything. We can also set up a playlist if someone brings a speaker.

AAA — roadside assistance and more

We decided to go with the light gray paint for the living room after looking at samples for nearly two weeks. The contractor said it should take about three days to finish the whole space including the trim and ceiling. We are keeping the white trim because it gives a nice contrast against the gray walls. The flooring is scheduled for the following week so we need to have the painting completed before then. We chose a mid-tone wood laminate that should hold up well with the dogs running around. The whole project has been interesting to coordinate between the painters and the floor installers. I am glad we took the time to get multiple quotes because the prices varied quite a bit. We ended up going with a local company that came recommended by our neighbors who did similar work last year. They have been professional and communicative so far which makes a big difference.
