Hey, just got back from the trail. The weather was perfect for a long hike, not too hot and a nice breeze at the summit. We packed a simple lunch and ended up staying for hours just watching the clouds roll through the valley. It was exactly what I needed to clear my head after the busy week. Let me know if you want to join next time. Also, I finally started that book you recommended and I can't put it down. The character development is incredible and the plot twists are genuinely surprising. I have about a hundred pages left and I plan to finish it this weekend. We should grab coffee next week to discuss it. Hope you're doing well! Say hi to the family for me.

I also tried that new bistro on 5th street. The ambiance was lovely, and the service was top-notch. We ordered the tasting menu and every course was a delight. The dessert, a lavender panna cotta, was the perfect end to the meal. Let me know if you want to check it out sometime.
Had a great time at the farmers market this weekend. Found some incredible heirloom tomatoes and fresh basil. Made a massive batch of caprese salad for the block party and it was gone in minutes. The corn was also unbelievably sweet this year. I grilled it with some chili lime butter and it was a huge hit. It's amazing how much better food tastes when it's sourced locally and in season. I'm thinking of trying my hand at fermenting some vegetables this fall. Maybe some pickles or kimchi. Do you have any experience with that? I'd love some tips if you do. I also signed up for a pottery class next month. It's something I've always wanted to try, and the studio had a great introductory offer. Hopefully, I can make something usable by the end of the session. Anyway, just wanted to share my culinary adventures. Hope you're having a great week!
