Yeah, I totally get what you mean. I tried that new spot on Elm Street last weekend and honestly the vibe was just off. I think they're trying too hard to be trendy. The menu looked great on paper but the execution was meh. I'd rather go back to that little Italian place we found a few months ago where the waiter actually remembered our order. Anyway, I was thinking we could maybe plan something for next Saturday if you're free. I know it's short notice but I've been meaning to catch up and hear about your trip. Did you end up taking that detour through the mountains? I remember you were debating whether it was worth the extra drive time. Let me know what works for you. Also I finally fixed that shelf in the garage and it only took me three tries to get the brackets aligned properly which is honestly a win in my book. Nothing fancy but it holds all the paint cans now without wobbling. NwsxU4BoTMPfPCX Oh and I found a really good podcast about marine biology if you're into that kind of thing — the host has this calm voice that makes even the science parts feel like a story.

I was just telling my neighbor about that book you recommended and she said she'd already read it twice. She's the same person who lent me that bread maker last spring and honestly I've used it way more than I expected. The sourdough recipe she gave me is pretty foolproof as long as you remember to feed the starter the night before. I forgot last week and ended up with flat dense loaves that my kid still ate because she puts butter on everything. Anyway I finally got around to organizing the pantry shelves this weekend and I found three bags of flour I didn't know I had. So I think I'm set for baking for a while. Let me know if you want me to drop off a loaf sometime. Also I started that gardening project I mentioned and the soil here is much sandier than I thought so I'm going to need to amend it pretty heavily. If you know anything about composting I'd love some tips because my current setup is basically just a pile in the corner and I think I'm doing it wrong.
