Yeah, I finally got around to watching that documentary series you mentioned last week. The cinematography was honestly stunning especially the aerial shots of the coastline. I ended up binging three episodes in one sitting because the storytelling had such a nice rhythm to it. The narrator's voice was really calming too which helped me unwind after a long day. I think you would really appreciate the way they wove together the personal stories with the broader historical context. There was one segment about the conservation efforts that I found particularly moving because it showed how small changes in local communities can lead to meaningful impact over time. I paused it a few times just to take notes on some of the places I want to visit someday. Let me know if you have seen anything else lately that you think I would like. I am always looking for good recommendations especially things that are well made and thought provoking without being too heavy. I will bring my notes when I see you next so we can compare thoughts on the series.

I tried that new coffee shop on the corner of Elm and Fifth this morning and honestly I was surprised by how good the pour over was. The barista recommended a single origin from Ethiopia that had these bright fruity notes and a smooth finish. I usually go for darker roasts but this one changed my mind about lighter profiles. The space itself was really inviting with lots of natural light and wooden tables that made it feel warm without being cramped. I sat by the window and read for about an hour before heading out. They also have a small selection of pastries that looked homemade. I grabbed a little almond cake to go and it was perfectly moist with just the right amount of sweetness. I think you would really like their cold brew too because it was smooth and not bitter at all. We should go there together sometime this weekend if you are free. I know you have been looking for a good spot to work from on Saturday mornings and this place has free wifi and plenty of outlets near the booths. Let me know what you think and I will send you the address. I am already looking forward to going back to try their matcha latte.
