I think the trail near Pine Creek would be perfect for Saturday. We should aim to start around 7 AM to beat the heat and have enough time to reach the lookout point before lunch.

The forecast shows clear skies with a light breeze which should make for great conditions. I checked the park website and permits are still available for groups under ten so we should be fine with our group size.

Make sure everyone brings at least two liters of water and some snacks for the trail. The elevation gain is moderate but the last mile gets pretty steep so poles might help. There is a nice spot about halfway where we can take a break by the stream.

After we finish the hike we could grab lunch at that diner near the park entrance. Let me know if anyone needs a ride I can fit four people in my car comfortably. We should probably confirm final headcount by Thursday evening so I can adjust the plan if needed.

The community garden committee meeting went well last night. We finalized the plot assignments for the spring season and everyone seemed happy with their spaces.

The new irrigation system should be installed by next week which will make watering much easier for everyone. We decided to schedule a work day on the first Saturday of next month to get the beds ready and repair the fencing.

Sarah volunteered to coordinate the seed swap so bring any extras you have. We also discussed adding a small seating area near the herb garden which would be nice for when people want to relax after working.

The compost bins are nearly full so we need to start a new pile soon. I said I would help turn the current pile this weekend if you want to come by. We are also thinking about having a small harvest celebration in late summer nothing too elaborate just a potluck with some music. Let me know if you have thoughts on any of this.
