Oh, the farmer's market was amazing! I didn't expect to spend two hours there but we ran into a guy selling artisan cheese and he let us try a truffle gouda that was just... wow. Then a little goat at the petting zoo area started nibbling on my shoelaces and wouldn't let go. The owner had to distract it with some carrots. I ended up buying way too many heirloom tomatoes and a loaf of sourdough. Made the best bruschetta later that evening. Also grabbed some organic honey — the lavender infused one. I'm thinking of going back next Saturday if the weather holds up. Let me know if you want me to pick up anything specific for you! The kids would love the petting zoo.

I finally started watching that new documentary series on ancient Rome. The production quality is incredible and the narration keeps pulling me in. I learned that Roman concrete was actually more durable than modern concrete in some ways because they used volcanic ash. Crazy, right? I binged three episodes in one sitting which I hadn't planned on doing. The segment on the aqueducts was fascinating especially how they used gravity so perfectly over long distances. Anyways I'm planning to finish it this weekend. I'll let you know what I think of the finale! Let me know if you have any other recommendations along those lines. I also heard there's a good one on the Silk Road. Have you seen it? Let's catch up over coffee soon to swap notes.
