Here's a question most people get wrong:
You've been going to the gym for 3 months. You hate it. You're not seeing results. But you've already paid for 6 months of membership.
Do you keep going?
Most people say yes. And most people are wrong.
This is the Sunk Cost Fallacy — the tendency to continue something because of what you've already invested (time, money, effort), even when continuing clearly isn't working.
It shows up everywhere:
You stay in the wrong routine because you've been doing it for years.
You keep using the wrong system because you spent time setting it up.
You stick with the wrong approach because "I've already come this far."
The escape is one sentence:
"Would I start this today if I weren't already doing it?"
If the answer is no, the investment is already lost. Continuing just adds more loss.
Copy-paste this decision filter:
"If I wouldn't start [this thing] today, I need to stop. Past investment doesn't justify future waste."
The hardest part of progress isn't starting something new. It's quitting something old.
