May 25, 2026 - Happy Memorial Day everyone! I hope most of you are reading this from your back porch with a tasty drink in hand and something good sizzling on the grill. (Though between dodging the storms and fending off my hound dogs who've decided every burger has their name on it, things might be a little less peaceful than planned.) I hope wherever you are, you've at least got some cover overhead and a cold drink to make up for it.

Welcome to my new bi-weekly newsletter! For those who don't know me, my name is Kat Shoulders and I'm the Media Director here at Worn & Wound, which means I oversee photo, video, and podcast production across all our departments. You'll catch me popping up in videos from time to time, and I'm a regular on the podcast, but I'm hoping this becomes a fun way for me to talk to you directly. My goal is to share things like what we're working on behind the scenes (and who knows, maybe even give you a sneak peek at upcoming projects), shouting out cool stuff we've made recently that you may have missed, or pointing you toward something special happening elsewhere in the industry that's worth your attention.

So sit back, sip on that tasty drink, keep an eye on your grill, and let's dive right in!

  WE WENT DIVING FOR JADE
Windup In A Bay is a campaign we do every year, but 2026 was extra special because our dive team (who, by the way, are absolute legends) actually pulled natural jade out of the bay, and west coast photographer Gavin Murray's photos made me feel like I was right there in the water with them. Check it out if you haven’t already!

I JOIN THE TOPPER JEWELERS CREW
  FOR A FUN GAME
A little self promotion here (I know, I know) but figured if some of you aren’t familiar with who I am, this would be a good listen. I joined my friends Rob & Russ Caplan and Zach Piña to talk about what's new at Worn & Wound and we have a little 3 Watch Collection Under $5k showdown.

A VIDEO ON TUDOR'S SURPRISE HIT
  NO ONE IS TALKING ABOUT
Last week, our Editorial Director, Zach Kazan, sat down with contributor Cait Bazemore to take a closer look at the new Tudor Royal releases and discuss whey they haven’t been given much love from the media or community since it’s release at Watches & Wonders. Pound for pound these watches pack a punch and I feel are deserving of more spotlight. Check them out in the video and let me know what you think!
