Well, hello there Iza,
Do you know what you need? Not what your kids need, or what your partner needs, or what your team at work needs. But what you need. In my therapy practice, when I ask high-functioning women what they need for the coming week, many of them either freeze or hand me a list of responsibilities. Things they have to get done. These things are not the same thing.
In this week’s episode, I’m diving deep into the roots of high-functioning codependency (HFC) and why we automatically minimize, delay, and outsource our own well-being. I share a personal story about my own mother, talk about why self-consideration is much more powerful than abstract self-love, and give you a simple, one-question daily practice to help you stop overriding yourself.

| | | | Optimize Your Mental Health with Dr. Paul Conti
| |
In last week's podcast, I sat down with the incredible Dr. Paul Conti to dive into his new book, What's Going Right, and explore a total paradigm shift in how we look at mental health. We dove deep into what he calls the “Generative Drive”—the powerful, often untapped force behind true fulfillment—and tackled why so many of us get stuck in exhausting loops of negativity. Paul shared practical self-inquiry tools to help you pull hidden, unconscious patterns so they stop running your life from behind the scenes, offering a powerful roadmap to optimize your emotional well-being by shifting your focus to what is actually working. If you haven't listened yet, take a deep breath, and check it out!

My friend Ashley Turner, LMFT, is hosting the Midlife, Menopause & Mental Health Global Summit, and and I am happy to be a part of it! It is exactly the resource-rich space we need to tend to our minds and bodies.
The event starts Monday, June 1 at 7am ET, which is your absolute last chance to grab Early Bird pricing for just $47.
