 Virginia SUN Bucks
Virginia SUN Bucks is a one-time benefit to help families with the cost of groceries during the summer when children are not in school. Some families will automatically qualify for SUN Bucks based on participation in SNAP, TANF, income-based Medical Assistance, or free or reduced-price meals at school. Body Safety Facilitators Needed
Empower children, make a difference in your community, and help prevent child abuse in a non-alarming way. The Body Safety Education Program is seeking volunteers who are available on weekdays to teach our evidence-based, age-appropriate lessons in local schools across Fairfax County. They offer:
- Flexible scheduling around your availability
- Thorough training and ongoing/onsite staff support
- The opportunity to choose the classes you prefer

Home Delivered Meals/Meals on Wheels is looking for additional food resources for homebound seniors to supplement budget cuts. Children’s Summer Reading Festival
June 13th from 10 AM to 1 PM at the Fairfax County Government Center (12000 Government Center Pkwy, Fairfax). There will be games and crafts, bounce houses, snacks, facepainting, food trucks, a photobooth, a D.J., live entertainment, and more…Admission is FREE. More info here.

Using a training platform called Embodied Labs, you will see what it’s like to be an older adult facing real-life challenges. 2 NEW facilitated sessions added for 2026: The Clay Lab (End-of-Life Conversations) and The Beatriz Lab (Alzheimer’s Disease).
