Good morning,
I'm please to announce that the application window for Fall Trades Scholarships will open on June 15, 2026.
With support from the ACE Foundation and private donors, we can offer $1,000 scholarships for Skilled Trade Apprenticeship courses in Plumbing, Electrical, and HVAC, with at least $40,000 in available funding.
The scholarship application window runs from June 15 through August 15, 2026, with awards applied directly toward tuition for approved FCPS ACE trade courses this Fall.
As you know, Apprenticeship and Skilled Trades career advancement is a top priority for FCPS Adult and Community Education, as these professions drive our nation's economies and provide hundreds of thousands of stable jobs.
And while I strongly encourage interested students to apply during this special initiative window, I also want to emphasize that we have scholarships and payment plans available all year long, for many other career programs.
Money should never be a barrier to education. Help is always available.
Right now, we're also offering a $700 scholarship for Veterinary Assistant careers.
There are a limited number of spots still available for our in-person, 16-week class starting June 13 in Springfield, VA. If you are interested in applying for this $700 scholarship, or need options to help with an online Veterinary class, please email educationalcounseling@fcps.edu before registering.
Whether you're interested in Healthcare, Computers and IT, or other Business areas, continued education in any field can give you the confidence and the advantage in today's competitive job market.
And, of course, there are always fun and enriching personal skills classes to keep you learning for life.
