8TH GRADE DANCE:
We are just 9 days away from the 8th Grade Dance!
The 8th Grade Dance will take place on June 12th from 6:00–8:00 PM, and we need your help to make it a special night for our students! Our theme this year is “An Evening in Paris,” which was voted on by the students.
This event is completely volunteer-run, and it is a BIG undertaking to transform the space for the dance. We especially need volunteers who are handy and comfortable using a ladder to help with:
- Building our 11-foot Eiffel Tower kit
- Hanging, draping, and decorations on the walls
- General decorating and setup
We also need help during the event with chaperoning, concessions, and cleanup afterward. Many hands are needed to help create a memorable evening for our rising 9th graders!

2026-2027 PTA BOARD:
Time Is Running Out — The Future of the Mark Twain MS PTA Depends on You
As we approach the end of the school year, the Mark Twain Middle School PTA faces an urgent challenge: we must fill key Board positions and elect a new PTA leadership team before school closes in June.
At this time, we are still seeking volunteers for the following critical roles for the 2026–2027 school year:
Families of both rising 7th- and 8th-graders are eligible to serve.
Without a full Board in place, the PTA will be unable to continue many of the programs, events, staff appreciation efforts, and student enrichment opportunities that our school community relies on each year. The clock is ticking, and we need committed volunteers to step forward now.
Whether you're interested yourself or know someone who would be a great fit, please don't wait. Serving on the PTA Board is a meaningful way to support our administrators, teachers, staff, and students while connecting with other families and helping shape the school experience for all.
We need to hear from interested volunteers as soon as possible.

8TH GRADE FIELD DAY:
Thank you to everyone who has already donated items, signed up to volunteer, or supported our upcoming 8th Grade Field Day celebration! Your generosity is helping make this a memorable experience for our Tigers as they wrap up their middle school years.
We still have several outstanding items and volunteer opportunities that need to be filled before June 17. As our 8th graders do not have a graduation ceremony, Field Day and the 8th Grade Dance serve as two special opportunities to celebrate and recognize them before they head off to high school.
To make these events successful, Twain administrators, teachers, and staff continue to rely on the support of our amazing Twain community. For added convenience, many of the requested items are available through our Amazon Wishlist and can be shipped directly to the school.
