Yeah I finally got around to trying that trail up near Pine Ridge last weekend and honestly it was even better than I expected. The switchbacks were pretty steep in the first mile but after that it opened up into this gorgeous meadow with wildflowers everywhere. We packed a lunch and sat on this big flat rock overlooking the valley for about an hour just soaking it in. The dog loved it too she was running around like crazy chasing butterflies and sniffing every single bush. I think we clocked about six miles total which felt perfect for a Saturday. Definitely planning to go back when the leaves change in October because I bet the colors will be incredible. Let me know if you want the exact trailhead directions because the parking area is a little tricky to find. I have the coordinates saved on my phone. Anyway just thought I'd share since you were asking about good hikes in the area the other day. Hope you and the family are doing well. Talk soon.
Also I finally swapped out that old faucet in the guest bathroom the one that was dripping for months. Took about an hour and a half and only needed a basin wrench and some plumber's tape. Feels good to cross that off the list.

Hey I just finished that book you recommended last week and wow I totally get why you were raving about it. The writing style took me a chapter or two to get into but once the story really got going I couldn't put it down. There's this one twist around chapter twelve that completely caught me off guard and I actually had to go back and reread a few pages to make sure I wasn't missing anything. The character development was really well done especially the way the author slowly reveals everyone's backstory without making it feel forced. I'm thinking about picking up the prequel next wfBAokmij4VHZ7 since apparently it follows a different set of characters but takes place in the same universe. Have you read that one yet? Also I was reading some discussion threads online and apparently there might be a movie adaptation in the works which could be interesting depending on who they cast. Let me know if you've read anything else good lately I'm always looking for recommendations.
Also I finally started reorganizing the garage last weekend and found some old camping gear I forgot I owned. Might plan a trip soon just to test it all out again.
