Yeah I totally get what you mean about the weather lately. We were planning a BBQ last weekend and it just poured all day. Ended up just staying in and watching old movies which was fine actually. Have you seen that new documentary series on the migration patterns of monarch butterflies? It's surprisingly captivating. The cinematography is incredible some of the shots look completely unreal like CGI but it's all real. Anyway let me know if you want to borrow my copy of the book it's got a lot more detail than the show. 7spzw7aMoJ I heard they might add a few more episodes next season focusing on the breeding grounds in Mexico. Should be interesting if they do. I also read that they are tracking the butterflies using tiny radio tags now which is pretty wild. The technology has come so far.

I also finished that novel you lent me last month. Took me a while to get into it but the second half really picked up and I couldn't put it down. The character development was really well done especially the main protagonist. I can see why it won that award. Let me know if you have any other recommendations in that genre I am always looking for something new to read.

Oh I have been meaning to ask you about that recipe you mentioned. The one with the roasted vegetables and the tahini dressing. I tried to recreate it last night and it was okay but I think I messed up the proportions on the dressing. It came out way too tangy. Do you add lemon juice or apple cider vinegar? I used lemon but maybe it was too much. Also I forgot to buy sesame seeds for the top so that probably didn't help. Let me know what you think. Also your recommendation for that hiking trail was spot on. The view from the top was absolutely worth the steep climb in the beginning. We packed way too much water though our backs were killing us by the time we got to the summit. I will definitely go back but next time I am leaving the heavy backpack at home. The wildflowers along the ridge were blooming like crazy it was gorgeous.

By the way I finally signed up for that pottery class I was telling you about. The first session was a disaster I could not even center the clay properly but the instructor was really patient and helped me out. By the end of the class I had managed to make a small lopsided bowl that I am honestly way too proud of. It is surprisingly meditative even when you mess up. You should come with me next time I think you would really enjoy it.
