Hey! Sorry for the delay. I was out walking the dog when your message came in. Honestly the weather has been so unpredictable lately — one minute sunny, the next pouring rain.
I finally finished that book you recommended last week. Took me a while because I kept falling asleep but the ending was worth it. Have you read anything else by that author? I'm curious about the earlier series she wrote.
Also I wanted to ask about that recipe you mentioned. I tried looking it up but couldn't find the exact one. Was it the version with the roasted vegetables or the one with the creamy base? I think I mixed up two different dishes.
Let me know if you're free this weekend. I was thinking we could grab lunch somewhere casual — nothing fancy. There's that new place near the park that opened last month. I heard their sandwiches are pretty solid.
Anyway, no rush on replying. Just wanted to check in. Talk soon! iv2Zr9AumxpA

I totally forgot about that thing we talked about last Tuesday. My brain has been all over the place lately. I think I need to start writing stuff down because I keep missing appointments and double-booking myself. It's getting ridiculous honestly.
Anyway I finally got around to organizing that closet I've been meaning to tackle for months. Found some old photos from way back which was nice. Also discovered I own three identical jackets so that was a wake-up call. Definitely need to stop buying the same things over and over.
My sister called last night and we ended up talking for almost two hours. She's thinking about adopting a cat from the local shelter. I told her to go for it. Her apartment could use some company and cats are pretty low maintenance compared to dogs. She works from home so it would work out well.
Let me know when you're free to catch up properly. I'm around most evenings after seven. We could do a video call if that works better. No pressure either way.
