I really enjoyed our conversation the other day about getting back into photography. I actually dug out my old camera over the weekend and started playing around with it. The battery still works, which is a miracle. I mostly wandered around the backyard taking pictures of the flowers and some birds that were hanging around. I finally tackled the pile of boxes in my garage that I've been avoiding since we moved in. It was mostly old books and kitchen gadgets, but I found a really cool vintage lamp that I think I can refurbish. I spent a couple of hours sanding it down and painting it a matte black. It's going to look perfect in the reading nook. It feels good to finally make progress on that space. Next weekend I'm planning to organize the tool bench, which honestly might take even longer. I also tried that sourdough starter recipe you sent me. It's been a week and it's finally starting to bubble consistently. I think I might try baking my first loaf this weekend. Wish me luck!
