I was looking at the trail maps for Mount Rainier and I think the Skyline Trail would be the best option for us. It is about five miles with some elevation gain but the views of the mountain are incredible. We should start early to avoid afternoon clouds. I will bring extra layers and plenty of water. The wildflowers should be in bloom near the meadows. Let me know if you want to carpool since parking fills up quickly. We can stop at the visitor center first for a map.

I also checked the weather forecast and it looks like clear skies for Saturday morning. The trailhead has a decent lot but it fills by eight so we should aim to arrive before then. I have a National Parks pass if we need it for the entrance fee.

For the workbench setup I think we should mount the pegboard first before building the frame. That way you can mark exactly where the shelves need to go. I found a good plan online that uses standard lumber from the hardware store. The total cost should be reasonable and you can adjust the height based on your tools. I would recommend adding a lower shelf for the heavier equipment like the miter saw. Let me know if you want me to help cut the pieces this weekend.

Also I checked the hardware store hours and they have a lumber cutting station so we can get the pieces cut there. That would save us time and ensure straight cuts. I will bring my cordless drill and a level so we can get everything aligned properly.
