Hey, caught your message about the deck project. I think you're right to go with pressure-treated pine for the frame, but maybe consider cedar for the surface boards. It holds up better against moisture and looks fantastic when sealed. I just finished sanding mine down last weekend and applied a semi-transparent stain. It was a lot of work but totally worth it. Also, aX8odWANteTkor is that code I mentioned for the hardware discount. Let me know if you need a hand lifting those beams. I'm free Saturday morning if the weather holds up. We could grab lunch afterwards at that BBQ place you like. Let me know what you think about the cedar idea. I have some extra sealant if you want to try it.

I finally got around to trying that hiking trail you recommended. The elevation gain was no joke, but the view from the top was absolutely breathtaking. We packed a simple lunch with some sandwiches and fruit, and just sat there for an hour taking it all in. On the way down, we spotted a family of deer which was pretty magical. Next time, I'm definitely bringing better ankle support. Thanks again for the suggestion. Also, I tried a new dry rub recipe for the barbecue last weekend. Smoked paprika, brown sugar, garlic powder, and a hint of cayenne. It was a hit with everyone. Let me know if you want the exact measurements.
