Principal's Message:

Hello Bull Run Families,

I can't believe we are about to enter our last full week of the 25-26 school year!  We have a lot of excitement in the building as the days go by; parties promotion ceremonies, and even having returning Bull Run students, that are now graduating High School, walking the halls once more.

Let's end the year Charger STRONG, and that begins with showing up every day!

Reminders:

Tomorrow, Friday June 05, is our third attendance incentive spirit day-- Mismatched or Backwards Clothes Day!  Homerooms were notified at the end of the school day today if they reached the goal for the invitation to participate!

Have a wonderful weekend!

-Mr. Marotta

Finish the School Year #ChargerSTRONG!

ONE WEEK LEFT!

We are heading into the Final 4 (there are four full weeks of school, with a smaller week in between) — and we want every student to count! To celebrate Bull Run Elementary and keep our attendance soaring, we’re launching a special spirit challenge.

The Weekly Challenge:

If your student's class reaches at least 95% attendance for the week, they get to participate in a fun Spirit Day at the end of each week!

Mark your calendars for these themes:

  • May 15: Pajama and Stuffed Animal Day! (COMPLETED)

  • May 22: Crazy Hair or Hat Day! (COMPLETED)

  • June 5: Mismatch / Backwards Clothing Day!

  • June 11: Sunglasses at School Day!

The Grand Prize:

We’ve saved the best for last. If the entire school maintains a 95% attendance rate throughout these four weeks, we get to tape Mr. Marotta to the wall! Let’s show up, have some fun, and see if we can get the Principal stuck!

BENCHMARK UPDATE

Halfway Through Exploring the Earth in Language Arts

We are halfway through Benchmark Unit 8 in Language Arts! Across grade levels, students have explored the seasons, the solar system, and the impact that natural processes and systems have on society.

Connect with your child’s learning at school with these fun questions and hands-on activities at home:

  • Question: What has been your favorite reading from this unit and why?
  • Activity: Fill a clear cup with different layers of materials (sand, soil, small pebbles) to represent Earth’s layers. Pour water on top and see how it moves through the layers.

At the end of the unit, your child will take their unit magazine home. The magazine includes an activity calendar with fun ways to help students build on what they’re learning at each grade level. You can also find information on how to support your child’s reading at home on the
