Award-winning blues artist and featured contestant on NBC's "The Voice" Carly Harvey opens the 2026 free Lubber Run Summer Concert Series on Saturday, June 6 with a tribute to the a tribute to the late great Amy Winehouse! Diva to Diva...Soul to Soul...don't miss Carly and her 10 piece band as they kick off the summer in supremely soulful style!
The series continues through August 2, with most shows Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00 pm, and Sunday family performances at 11:00 am.

29th Annual Columbia Pike Blues Festival

Currently on a national tour, Lexington, Kentucky’s powerhouse Joslyn and The Sweet Compression headlines a lineup of national touring artists and hometown favorites. This year, the festival will be held in a new location comprised of Penrose Square and the adjacent grounds at 2601 Columbia Pike. In addition to all the great music, festival goers can enjoy shopping, local food, and activities for the entire family. With the new location the Blues Festival carries on the great community spirit that has been the cornerstone of this unofficial start to the Arlington Summer for the last twenty-nine years.

The son, however, is a recluse who resents his mother's use of him as a 'Unique Selling Point' in the increasingly competitive daytime talk show world. As Reggie's career takes off, her on-air advice to a variety of guests ironically contrasts with her failing marriage and her troubled child.

Mozart and Bruch: The Great Concertos

Closing the season with both grandeur and intimacy, the National Chamber Ensemble presents two masterworks in a rare chamber setting that brings their emotional depth and structural brilliance into sharp focus. Pianist Carlos César Rodríguez lends dazzling elegance to Piano Concerto No. 21 "Elvira Madigan" by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, his most famous piano concerto, while Artistic Director Leo Sushansky performs the virtuosic Violin Concerto No. 1 in G minor by Max Bruch in a reimagined, deeply personal interpretation. The program also features Adoration by Florence Price and the lyrical Romance by Johan Svendsen. This season finale celebrates the genius of some of classical music’s most enduring voices while showcasing the interpretive depth and artistry of NCE’s distinguished musicians.

The Incubator at Arlington Public Library invites you for an artist talk by local artist Sabine Portal. Originally from France, Sabine lived in several European countries before settling in Arlington. She has long been passionate about drawing and painting. She works primarily in watercolor and loves its transparency and interaction of pigments Her subjects include portraits, landscapes, urban scenes, and nature. Her exhibit will be on view at Cherrydale Library through June 2026.

Acoustic Café presents Griefcat & The Calico Cloggers

Closing out the Spring 2026 season of the Acoustic Cafe is Griefcat, the musical comedy duo of Annie Nardolilli and Louisa Hall, two songwriters from Washington, DC, who are genre-hopping troubadours unafraid of sonic experimentation, building on influences from Tenacious D to Dolly Parton and beyond. Expect a healthy dose of campiness. Opening will be The Calico Cloggers, a Northern Virginia-based percussive dance group, whose repertoire includes traditional and modern clogging, Irish and Canadian step dancing, tap dancing, swing, and set dancing.
