I'm so glad you asked about the hiking trail we took last weekend. Honestly it was one of the best routes I've explored in months. We started early around 7am and the weather was perfect not too hot just a light breeze through the pines. The trail winds up along a creek for about two miles before opening into a meadow with wildflowers everywhere. I'd recommend bringing extra water because the last mile is steep but the view from the top is absolutely worth it. There's a bench at the summit where you can sit and just take it all in. We packed sandwiches and ate lunch up there. Next time I want to try the loop trail that goes around the lake on the other side. Let me know if you want me to send you the exact map coordinates. I have them saved on my phone. The trailhead is about 45 minutes from downtown so it's an easy drive. XjuKYgyE9ubUDr Parking was plentiful when we arrived but it filled up by midday so I'd recommend getting there early. The trail is rated moderate but I'd say it's on the easier side of moderate.

Thanks for the movie recommendation. I finally watched it last night and really enjoyed it. The cinematography was stunning especially the scenes shot in the old city. I wasn't sure about the lead actor at first but he grew on me by the second act. The soundtrack was surprisingly good too I've already added a few tracks to my playlist. Have you seen anything else by that director I'd love to watch more of their work. The pacing was a bit slow in the middle but the ending tied everything together nicely. I think you'd also like this documentary I watched recently about urban gardening it had a similar thoughtful tone. Let me know what you think if you end up watching it again. We could do a double feature sometime. There's a new indie theater opening up downtown that plays older classics. I checked their schedule and they're showing a few films from the 70s next month. XjuKYgyE9ubUDr We should plan an evening around it. Let me know what weekends work for you.
