I recently tried out that new bistro downtown, the one that opened near the old bookstore. The atmosphere was really cozy, and they had a live acoustic set playing which was nice. I ordered the mushroom risotto and it was seasoned perfectly. My friend got the grilled salmon and said it was cooked just right. Parking was surprisingly easy to find for a Friday night, which is always a bonus. Let me know if you want to check it out next week. I heard they also have a fantastic weekend brunch with bottomless mimosas, so maybe we could do that instead. The decor is very modern with a touch of vintage, and the staff was incredibly friendly and attentive throughout our meal.

I spent the weekend reorganizing the home office and it feels like a completely different space. I moved the desk closer to the window so I can get more natural light during the day. The cable management situation was getting out of hand, so I picked up some clips and routed everything along the underside of the desk. It is amazing how much clearer my head feels when the physical space is tidy. I also swapped out the old lamp for a warmer bulb, which makes the room feel cozier in the evenings. Next project might be the garage, but I am not in a rush to start that. I found a few old photo albums while I was sorting through the boxes, and it was fun to take a trip down memory lane.
