The S.W.I.P.E.S email!

This is an all-human-written email, currently being writing from Lazarus in Austin, TX while drinking a coffee and eating breakfast tacos :)

Swipe:

My FAVORITE style of ad is an "Us vs Them" style ad, and this butcher uses it perfectly to showcase why it's beef is superior to Whole Foods beef in terms of quality and local source:

They show that it's slightly more expensive, but local:

In one image they show it's original compared to WF:

I just love these types of images because they convey sooo much information in a small space that can be shared on any platform.

Wisdom:

I don't think there's a right and wrong way to launch a product, but you CAN re-do it many times!

Brian Chesky of AirBnB apparently re-launched AirBnB 3 times before it took off:

Launch 1, 2007: To pay their rent AirBnB founders put air mattresses on their floor and offered them to attendees of a design conference. 3 bookings.

Launch 2, 2008: They revamped the site and launched it again at SXSW. It resulted in only one booking.

Launch 3, 2008: They re-launched again when a big convention was in town and hotels were sold out. Resulted in 80 bookings!

Interesting:

I've been using the Kit MCP a bunch for my email list, and it's basically like having a research person for your email list.

I figure almost all your favorite services will soon have an MCP or other connector so your AI can use it:

An MCP is just a connector to whatever software you use:

Instead of manually sifting through my Kit analytics, I can actually use ChatGPT to ask detailed questions about new groups of people that've signed up and see their engagement.

One recent query I had was seeing when a specific group of people that signed up to my newsletter last got an email. Normally I would have to spot-check random people in the group and see their open rates individually, but with the MCP I was able to do a deep dive and get the answer in 30 seconds.

We're in the very beginning stages of MCP's and I'm curious to see the cool ways people use them or other connectors!

My little dude is coming up on 7 months old and he's at a fun age where he can interact a lot, sit up, eat some food besides milk, and is a giggle machine :-)

Trying on his cool new hat:

Looks like he's Boss Baby giving orders
